It is an excellent lubricating agent during leather treatment, helping to obtain more complete fragments of leather and generating good penetration in leather painting. Also used as an agricultural disinfectant, cleaning in steel production, paper pulping, degreasing, as an additive for dyeing and exhausting agent for dyes of various natural and synthetic fibers, and as a reducing agent in chrome dyeing.
