It is the most common form of a carbohydrate obtained from the wet milling of corn. It is used as a base in corrugated paste and used as a thickening and thickening agent in soups, sauces, sausages, baby food, bread, sweets, salad dressings, pharmaceutical products, among others. It is also used in the preparation of non-alcoholic beverages, perfumes, hair fixative sprays.
