Cyclopentasiloxane and Dimethicone

They are mixtures of dimethiconol or dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane in different degrees of viscosity. The volatile part of the mixture evaporates, leaving the dimethiconol or dimethicone on the skin or hair to provide an increase in substantivity. Applications: hair products (split ends preparation), sunscreens, body products, facial creams.
