Dextrose Monohydrate

Dextrose monohydrate is a monosaccharide known as a simple sugar. It is widely used as a sweetener and as a main ingredient in corn syrup. In confectionery, dextrose is found in jams, preserves, and jellies, as well as ice cream, cookies, and other bakery products. In animal nutrition it is a basic energy source for most species and is fully assimilated by the animal. It is incorporated into the starter and pre-starter of piglet feed as a choice of energy source, since it stimulates feed intake and improves piglet vitality.
