It is used as a detergent, wetting agent, dispersant, Emulsifier and in formulations for the textile industry. It is used in the development of detergents, emulsion paints, industrial and household cleaners. It is also used as a dispersant in petroleum oils, a plasticizer and antistatic agent for polyvinyl acetate, and as a chemical intermediate for the synthesis of high-foam, water-soluble sulfated detergents. Specifically, the ethoxylated nonyl phenol is used as: tensoactive for the formulation of deinking, in rapid rinsing, washing of paper machines and as a humectant in the formation of pesticides and mineral acids. It is used as a surfactant in metal processing and in all phases of synthetic fiber production.
