Also known as antifreeze, it is an antioxidant that collects the sediment that accumulates in the engine cooling system, has a detergent effect and is also a lubricant. It is a chemical compound based on ethylene glycol that has the ability to regulate temperature. It offers a wide thermal range that goes from minus 30ºC to approximately 140ºC, so that its presence in the internal circuit of the motor ensures that it works at a stable and optimal temperature for its operation (around 90ºC). It is used in all types of engines to level their temperature, avoiding overheating or freezing in low temperature climates.
